I’m just finishing packing for my trip to San Francisco for the Inman Real Estate Connect conference and the first ever Bloggers Connect.
I have been looking forward to these conferences for a very long time now. I really cannot wait to see the ‘duet’ with Glenn Kelman of Redfin and Lennox Scott of John L. Scott.
I also have a number of meetings set up at the conferences - including meetings with executives of two different real estate startups (one from Seattle, one from San Diego) that need a California broker. If you happen to know of any real estate companies that need an Executive with experience with online startups, referrals and the relo business, or a broker licensed in CA, HI, OR or WA. Today there are 29 SFRs (single family residences) listed for sale in Bellevue for less than $500k. Two of them are actually under $400k. This number is actually creeping up slightly, but not as fast as I thought.
There seem to be a lot of sellers out there who may be late to the game and still be fishing for prices that were only a figment of their (and their agent’s) imagination. There are at least three that I know of on my street alone. For now, that seems to be one of the main reasons that the average number of days on market is also going up. For today’s SFR listings in Bellevue, the average days on market is 41 days and I look for this number to continue to get larger.
What’s the pricing like in your neighborhood? Do you think sellers are being reasonable?

According to an article at the Seattle PI, Kemper Freeman Jr. of Kemper Development, is planning to spend over a billion dollars to embark on an estimated $1 billion, five-year renovation that will overhaul Bellevue Square, add 351 rooms to the nearby Hyatt Regency hotel and install upscale fashion boutiques.
When the dust settles, Freeman said another 2.5 million square feet will have been developed, and the crown jewel will be “The Bellevue,” home to luxury shops, a five-star hotel and fine dining. The Bellevue will be built on Bellevue Way at the current Safeway/Bartell Drugs site. That will certainly add to Kemper’s “collection”

I like the fact that all the posts at The Bellevue Real Estate Blog are picked up by Google blog alerts, but the templates offered by my webhost are very limited - especially for me with limited time and design/coding ability.
I’m thinking about trying another blog format, or making another site like EastsideBusinessJournal.com using Joomla. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?
Once I get down the right format, I would love to consolidate all my blog postings …
